Fall Protection Training

When your team can recognize trip and fall hazards and use the right protection, working at height gets safer for everyone on site. OSHA fall protection training builds that skill and reminds everyone why it’s important.

What You'll Learn

This training reviews the fall hazards that apply to your work environment and the methods used to keep people safe, whether the risk is a fall from height or a slip at ground level. Courses can cover:

Fall and Working Surface Hazards

Black_Warning

Recognize fall hazards across surfaces and heights, including unprotected edges and slip and trip risks. Understand where falls of four feet or more (general industry) or six feet or more (construction) call for added protection.

Prevention and Protection

Black_ShieldCheck

Learn the difference between preventing a fall and stopping one that's already started. We'll discuss fall protection and prevention methods, including fall arrest systems and controlled access zones, so your team knows which approach fits the task.

Equipment and Harnesses

Black_Wrench

Get familiar with the common types of equipment used to work safely at elevated heights, as well as how personal fall arrest harnesses should fit and how to conduct a pre-use inspection.

Requirements and Standards

Black_BookOpenText

Understand what OSHA requires under its fall protection standards for general industry (29 CFR 1910 Subpart D) and construction (29 CFR 1926 Subpart M), and how those requirements apply to your workplace.
