What's Included in Contractor Prequalification Services
Account Set-Up
Connect with an owner client or contractor and we'll work with you to get your account up and running - from questionnaires and data entry to documentation management.
Documentation Management
While written programs are within our scope, a few documents have to come from you, such as insurance certificates. We'll tell you what each connection needs and file it on your behalf.
Fix a Failing Grade
Grades are based on how safe your company operates and the requirements you meet. If something is rejected or outstanding, we'll work to fix it and resubmit for another review.
Account Maintenance
Requirement changes, document expiration., and quarterly data entry - we'll check your account every month and flag anything new before it affects your grade.
Always in Your Corner
Safety is easier when you're not carrying it alone. Add support alongside your existing safety function, or let us take care of it all. Together, we can build a positive safety culture that shows your people how much their safety matters.

Frequently asked questions
Every contractor that you connect with, on any given prequalification site, has different requirements. While we see standard requirements across the board like written programs and OSHA recordkeeping forms, there are variations within those requirements. Also, they all use different grading systems. One connection may place heavy emphasis and weight on written programs; another may assign less weight in the overall grade. Lancaster Safety helps with connections on an individual basis and provides guidance on how to make each connection compliant on the prequalification site.
Review time can vary depending on the document and the prequalification site. Shorter documents are typically reviewed within 3 to 5 business days. Longer documents, like written programs, can take 2 or more weeks.
Contractors have varying requirements based on their own company's standards as well as the work your company is performing. If there is something being requested that you don't have, and need, we'll work with you to develop it. If it doesn't apply to you company's operations, we can request an exemption.
Some hiring connections do not permit exemptions. In that situation, reaching out to a point of contact at the general contractor is the next best step, as they may be able to manually exempt you on the prequalification site.
