Frequently Asked Questions
Operators are a core audience, and the course covers the hazards, inspections, capacity, and safe operating procedures they need to do their job.
Yes. The training covers what to look for when inspecting rigging equipment, alongside crane inspections and safe operating procedures.
The primary federal rules are found in OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart N (Materials Handling and Storage), 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC (Cranes and Derricks in Construction), and 29 CFR 1926.251 (Materials Handling). We build the training around the requirements that apply to your equipment and operations.
OSHA doesn't set a fixed calendar interval for refresher training, but we recommend annual training. Retraining is required when an operator is involved in an incident, is seen working unsafely, moves to a different type of crane, or when an evaluation shows it's needed. Many employers run a refresher every few years as good practice. We can help you work out a schedule that fits your operations.
After the training, we can provide documentation you can show in the event of an OSHA inspection, so you have proof your team was trained when you need it.
Yes. This is safety training, not basic operator training. Operators should already know how to run the equipment. Beforehand, employers confirm operators have reviewed the operator manual, had instruction on the controls, and completed supervised practice.
