Take In-House Forklift Safety Training to the Next Level

A powered industrial truck (PIT) is an important piece of equipment that is used to transfer material, products, machinery, etc., through the facility. When used properly, forklifts are a great asset to have. However, when operated incorrectly, they can cause tremendous damage to equipment, the property, and even your employees.

This class is designed to train designated individuals to be instructors of in-house training and certifications for powered industrial trucks. These designated individuals must have experience in operating the powered industrial trucks in the workplace. We will review how to deliver in-house training and gauge operator proficiency utilizing multiple resources (classroom presentations, hands-on exercises, written proficiency tests, etc.).

After completion of this course, participants will be trained to train and certify other forklift operators. This includes refresher training, site specific training, operating hazards, stability triangle, combined actions, pre-operation inspection, nameplates, operating a lift truck, tipping, loading/unloading, traveling, ramps and railroad tracks, docks, parking, unattended fork trucks, and propane refueling.

Our Forklift Safety Training Covers:
