What is Behavioral Based Safety?

Behavior Based Safety (BBS) is an injury prevention process that focuses on safe behaviors and actions. It is a process that creates a safety partnership between management and employees that continually focuses on what people do, why they do it, and then applies research-supported strategies to improve what people do. The focus is on improving employees’ behavior when it comes to safety and making safe choices.

Behavioral Based Safety Training

In our introductory course to Behavioral Based Safety, we cover BBS Environment and Personal Aspects, and go over the BBS Process. This is a great class for supervisors, safety professionals, and anyone overseeing day-to-day safety.

“It is based on the premise that humans are error-prone and that if we expect people to do things right all the time, we are most likely going to be disappointed – a lot!” – Andrea Baker
