Falls in Construction Safety Training
Did you know that falls are the number one cause of death in the construction industry?

Fall Protection is required by OSHA, in construction industry, when one or more employees have exposure to falls of 6ft or greater to the lower level.
What Fall Protection Training is Required by OSHA?
OSHA’s Fall Protection Standard requires construction employers to protect employees who are working 6 feet or more above a lower level where leading edges are under construction, but who is not engaged in the leading edge work, to be protected from falling. There are several ways to implement fall protection. Employers should assess the workplace to determine where falls might occur and decide what the best fall protection would be (guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system).
How much training is needed depends upon the job and the risk level involved. Lancaster Safety’s team can help your company determine the best level of fall protection training. Training can range from general awareness level to a 24-hour competent person level training.
