What are Short Service Employees?
New employees have a lot to learn in a short amount of time as they become familiar with the worksite, the job tasks, and company culture. The Institute for Work & Health estimates that employees in their first month on the job have more than 3 times the risk for a lost-time injury than workers who have been at their job for more than a year.

Why Short Service Employee Safety Training?
The Short Service Employee (or S.S.E.) Management Program applies to employees or subcontractors who have less than six months experience in the area of work in which they were hired. The purpose of the program is to prevent work related injuries and illnesses to new hires, temporary workers, and subcontractors.
