What is Job Competency?

Job competency simply means that before an employee is permitted to work independently, it must be verified that they are competent to perform their roles and responsibilities.

Why Job Competency Safety Training?

This module will look at what training employees need to have, categories of competency, and other factors to look at when determining job competency. Asking assessment questions will aid in determining job competency: Which skills are required to perform the work activity? What are the company’s requirements for safety and health training?
