OSHA’s implementation of the Global Harmonization Standard (GHS) is not something to ignore. The Hazard Communication Standard was created in 1983 and has gone relatively unchanged until recently. Becoming compliant is not an option, it’s the law!

WHY DID OSHA IMPLEMENT GHS?
The goal of GHS is to better protect workers from hazardous chemicals. The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration has revised its Hazard Communication Standard, aligning it with the United Nations’ global chemical labeling system.
The new standard is expected to prevent an estimated 43 deaths and will result in an estimated $475.2 million in enhanced productivity for U.S. businesses each year.
