What is SafeLand and AWARE Oil & Gas Training

Many oil and gas companies require specific training that provides employees and supervisors with an overview of the safety hazards and day to day operations that are unique to the oil and gas industry. LSCI understands that the oil and gas industry is unique in its operations and hazards, therefore we have trainers on staff who are authorized to provide the AWARE and SafeLandUSA training courses.

Lancaster Safety will provide the AWARE or SafeLandUSA training in groups at your company’s location. Students will receive a certification photo ID badge upon successful completion of the class. The student training certification cards do not expire.

What Would OSHA Say?

OSHA wants to see employers provide training to employees on any hazards they may face on the job that could cause potential injuries or illnesses. To comply with OSHA oil and gas extraction standards, site preparation is the only aspect of oil and gas well drilling and servicing operations covered by 29 CFR 1926. All other aspects of oil and gas well drilling and servicing operations are covered by 29 CFR 1910; when a serious hazard exists in the workplace that is not addressed by a specific OSHA standard, Section 5(a)(l) (“General Duty Clause”) of the OSH Act applies. Lancaster Safety can provide the proper training about potential hazards and possible solutions associated with oil and gas extraction.
