Wear Your PPE!
OSHA’s respiratory protection standard applies to workplaces where employees are exposed to hazardous atmospheres, are required to wear respirators, or are permitted to voluntarily wear respirators. This includes dust, fumes, gases, vapors, and biological contaminants that can cause serious health issues, ranging from respiratory irritation to chronic diseases and even cancer.
Why Respiratory Protection Training?
This course will review what hazards are respiratory hazards as well as what types of respirators and cartridges should be used to protect yourself from these hazards. This course also reviews what fit testing is, how frequently it should be completed, how to properly care for your respirator, and lastly, how to tell if you have a good seal with a respirator when wearing it.
