Know the Risks!
The majority of research indicates that RF radiation at low levels is generally safe, however, excessive exposure or prolonged use may pose risks such as the increased risk of certain cancers, changes in brain activity, or effects on reproductive health. When working around or in these areas, be aware of the short-term exposure symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and fatigue.
Why Radio Frequency Safety Training?
While there are no specific OSHA regulations for radio frequency and microwave radiation, this training module will highlight OSHA’s standards and documents that come into play for relative standards such as non-ionizing radiation and the control of hazardous energy. We’ll also review program elements and hazard control options.
