LSCI RECEIVES GOVERNOR’S AWARD FOR SAFETY EXCELLENCE

In October, 2011, LSCI was awarded the 2011 Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Safety Excellence.

Lancaster Safety Consulting, Inc. (LSCI), headquartered in Mars, PA, is among seven companies that were honored with this year’s Pennsylvania Governor’s Award for Safety Excellence. LSCI went through a thorough review process that included an onsite visit from Mr. Roger Williams, Chief, Employee Benefits and Safety Division. On Tuesday, December 13, 2011, an award ceremony took place at LSCI’s corporate office. LSCI was honored to be joined by Kara Stroup, representing Senator Jane Orie’s office. Elizabeth Crum, Deputy Secretary for Compensation and Insurance, and Scott Weiant, Chief Health and Safety Division, presented the safety award.

LSCI developed a philosophy of making safety its top priority and established a goal to constantly strive to improve their safety program for their nationwide network of safety professionals. Since 2004, the company has experienced zero reportable accidents and illnesses. Nine of Lancaster Safety Consulting’s safety programs have been highlighted as OSHA Best Practices for 2011, and 2012. The company’s commitment to safety has earned them the OSHA VPP Star award, the highest honor in its Voluntary Protection Programs. Lancaster Safety’s development of unique PPE go-kits to assist with having correct equipment at the job site has contributed to their no-incident safety record. Lancaster Safety Consulting has maintained a certified safety committee since 2007.
