At Lancaster Safety, we are passionate about helping companies get their employees home safety after every shift. The Safety & Health Consultant works remotely with companies across the country to build and grow their safety culture!

Responsibilities:

The Safety & Health Consultant works closely with Safety & Health Professionals and Project Coordinators to deliver high-quality exceptional service to our clients.

Some day-to-day projects include:

  • Develop and maintain written safety & health programs and procedures for clients.
  • Customize training and reference materials to be used by onsite instructors.
  • Research OSHA standards and consult on best practices
  • Evaluate and consult on injury and illness trends and records.
  • Finalize inspection reports submitted from onsite consultants. Communicate hazards and abatement measures with clients.
  • Create certification cards, certificates, and other training documentation.
  • Provide assistance, guidance, and support for clients’ prequalification sites such as ISNetWorld and Avetta.
  • Guide clients who have been inspected by OSHA. Work directly with OSHA and clients to assist with citation abatement and navigation through the process.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 1+ years’ experience as a Safety Specialist, Safety Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills; customer service experienced preferred.
  • Proficient with computer use and ability to learn computer-based applications.
  • Strong organization skills with a keen ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and effectively manage a variable workload with multiple priorities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or a related field.
  • Proficient communicator using methods including phone, videoconferencing, and email.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay focused without in-person supervision.
  • Must be available Monday-Friday during normal business hours.

Location:

  • The position is office-based. Hybrid work schedule opportunities are available after an initial in-office training period at our home office in Wexford, PA. No travel is required for this position.
